Your new house has an existing security system
Many times after you purchase a home, you’ll find that the previous owners left a security system. All the devices function well, are installed in the best places, and are ready to go. In this example, all you might have to do is to call and start a new service contract. A Vivint professional will still come out to ensure there are no integration issues, and they may offer suggestions on upgrades. It's a quick trip, and you can have your alarm monitoring set up without paying for any new components -- unless you get some new devices.
The previous homeowners can move an existing Vivint contract to you for a one-time transfer cost to make your life a snap. If the previous owners are moving to an apartment or smaller home, you keeping the home security service might be an addendum of the sale.
You are looking to move and bring your home security equipment with you
You may need to take your existing home security components with you to your new house when you move. That’s pretty simple to transfer, as many alarms and smart devices are wireless. You can uninstall each device by yourself or contact a Vivint expert to come and dismantle your devices. Then our installers will hang the same features -- and any new devices you need -- in your new place. Your home security contract will stay the same.
